No building plan approval needed : Muthusamy

No building plan approval is needed for upto 2400 sq ft hereafter and the construction can be started on the basis of plan authorised by the licensed engineer, said Housing Minister S Muthusamy.
He distributed ration cards to over 200 persons and nutrition kits to the kids suffering with stunted growth at a government function held at the Collectorate on Thursday.
Later, he told newsmen the local body officials would inspect the building and take action only if there is a deviation from the plan and the plan is against the government noms. Rules in this regard would soon be introduced. 
But, the public would as usual pay fees to the local bodies for construction. But, there is no need to get completion certificate from the officials.
