The Nobel World Record yoga competition for school students was held on behalf of Pavithra Yoga Center, Erode, at the Erode Indian Public School Campus on Sunday in which over 500 children from Erode and other districts participated. Pavithra Yoga Center Administrator and Yoga Instructor S Ranjith presided over the event.
He said that this competition is held to create more interest among students on yoga. Most importantly, the students practiced four types of Ustrasana Yoga for about 10 minutes in a row. In the mode of Baratham also, they performed yoga for 10 minutes continuously.
Besides, the students tying their eyes with black cloth performed silambam in their 2 hands for half an hour continuously. Prizes and Certificates were presented at the event which was attended by BJP District President Senthilkumar, Pavithra Yoga Center teachers Vinod, Gautam and many dignitaries
