Online applications for the admissions to MBBS and BDS courses for the year 2023-24 have opened on Wednesday.
The total number of medical course seats in 27 government medical colleges for the year 2022-23 was 5,175 and BDS courses in two government colleges was 220. Out of which, 15% of the seats would be allocated under the all India quota.
About 1,610 seats from 3,050 seats in 20 private medical colleges and 1,254 seats from 1,960 seats in 20 private dental colleges would be allocated under state quota.
About 569 seats were available for government school students under 7.5 per cent reservation this year.
For BDS, a total of 2,160 seats for dental courses are available in the State.
This year, 78,693 aspirants had cleared NEET.
As per the previous year’s statistics, seven students would be competing for a seat.
