Over 25,000 people take part Asanam organized by CSI Christ Church

The 25th Asanam  of CSI Christ Church, Trichy Road in the city took place on Sunday. While more than 3,000 people took part in the first service that started around 7 am and Rev.Rajendrakumar delivered a message. 
Over 5,000 people took part in the second service that started around 9 am and Rev Princed  Calvin delivered a message. 

The Asanam commenced around 11 am following the prayers and lasted till 5.25  pm.   Arrangement was made in such a way that more than 1,400 people could have their lunch at a given point of time. Food was distributed to over 40 old-age homes, orphanages and homes for differently-abled people.  More than 50 chefs from Thoothukudi district cooked the food and over 500 volunteers served the food. 

The arrangements were made by Reverends.Rajendrakumar, Suresh Kumar , Praveen Jebaraj, PC members , Asanam committee chairman Alwyn, Church secretary G.Bagya Selvan, Church treasurer P. Godwin Koil  DC members JP Jacob,JA Paramanandham, SN Jacob, G.Muthuselvan and Jasmine Jackson.
