'Parents Control App' can check children misuse cell phones at Erode

District Child Protection Unit officials suggested to the parents to use Parents Control App in the cell phones to check their children misuse the cell phones to see unnecessary things and use unncessary videos or video calls.
On the sideline of child protection awareness rally arranged by the unit at the collectorate, the officials said that most of the children became addict to cell phones since we have introduced it to learn lessons during Corona period. They didn't even see TVs now.  Most of the students use instagram, facebook, whattsapp etc to contact others. Many have more number of accounts in instagram and some have fake accounts also.  They enjoy chatting with others even though they didn't have any introduction with them. Such calls and contacts can be prevented by using the App. Even the time for using cell phones can be controlled by the App.  If the children try to access social medias apart from the study related Apps, the parents could get the message. Then, the children can be controlled from that exercise. In Australia, Japan and China, the government itself controlled the cellphone making firms to check children from misusing the cell phones. Here also the government can do it. Due to misuse of cellphones, many school girls elope with boys. Mostly from 9th to plus 2, many fall in love affair and run away from homes. After joining colleges, I year is a critical period for them due to their adoloscent nature. After that they become mature and start thinking about  their career.  Mostly girls incite boys to love affair. If the boy is above 18 years, POCSO Act can be used against him to punish and if he is less than 18 years, Juvenile Justice Act would be used to correct him.
Some girls even follow 'living together' concept. So, the child marriage arranged by the parents came down in the district and illigal marriages, love affairs at teen age and living together cases are on the rise. Hence POCSO cases were also on the rise in the district.  We cannot prevent the children from using cellphones due to technological advancement. But we can restrict them from misusing cellphones which could in general spoil teen aged students career, mental health and discipline.  It is a great danger to the nation if the Centre didn't take suitable action to control the children from misusing cell phones, they noted.
