PCC, CALF host free cancer detection camp for public

The Paterson Cancer Center, located inVadapalani, celebrated its 21st inaugural function in association with Cancer ALleviation Foundation, a charitable trust. 
The center organized a 30-day free cancer detection camp for the general public, covering over 1200 people. 
The camp included routine blood and urine routines, blood reabsorption, serum creatinine, blood sugar, ECG, X-ray chest, ultrasound, and pap smear, along with specialist consultations. 
Justice Shri. P N Prakash, the chief guest, emphasized the importance of early detection and the use of herbs in cancer treatment.
 

Shri.ArunKabilan, DCP (T.Nagar), emphasized the importance of cancer awareness among the general public. Shri. V. Ponraj, scientific advisor of Former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, visited the homeo extract display and appreciated the usefulness of herbs in cancer care.
Several dignitaries, including former cricketers, actors, and educators, shared their experiences during the camp. 
 

Trustee of Cancer ALleviation Foundation (CALF), Shri. P T Govindarajan, welcomed the gathering and explained the treating modalities available at the center. 
Paterson Cancer Center has treated over 16,000 patients since its inception in 2003 and recorded a cure rate of over 90%. 
The center is affiliated with Tamilnadu MGR university for B.sc Radiation Technology course, Anna University for research using Raman Effect, and IIT Madras for infra-red and near-infra-red mammograms. 
Participants were educated that Cancer is curable if detected and treated early, and preventable by adopting a prudent lifestyle.
