Peacocks get trapped in power lines

The increasing number of peacocks dying by getting trapped in electric lines in Coimbatore has left the locals and the bird enthusiasts worried. 

Numerous peacocks flock to various parts of Coimbatore, including Thudiyalur and Vadavalli, along the Western Ghats, to feed on farmland and residential areas.

At that time, they were trapped in the power lines and there were occasional incidents of tragic deaths.

The increasing number of tragic incidents of peacocks being trapped in power lines has caused anguish among bird enthusiasts. They demanded that the forest department take appropriate action to prevent this.
