Police commissioner launched mobile library

The city police commissioner Balakrishnan launched a mobile library named ‘auto thambi’ in the city. It is aimed at inculcating the reading habit among the public. An auto driver from  Thudiyalur, Syed, would be carrying newspapers and books like Tamil novels, magazines and non-fiction books in his auto and the library has been set up by Dr Kalam foundation at the cost of Rs 20,000.

Drinking water, sweets, face masks and hand sanitizers are kept in the auto. To avail the facility of auto library, one can dial 9150430091 as the auto has been travelling across the city. After inaugurating the library, police commissioner travelled in the auto for a short distance and read the books.
