Powerloom federation thanks CM

TN Powerloom Federation president Suresh and media coordinator Kandhavel have thanked the CM MK Stalin for increasing free power supply for powerlooms from 750 to 1000 units,  handlooms from 200 to 300 units and reduction of tariff per unit  from Rs 1.40 to 70 paise. They alongwith federation members burst crackers and distributed sweets to public at Erode Veerappanchathram on Saturday morning to celebrate the concessions offered by the government.

Federation demand

They said that as per the federation demand and promise made in the poll manifesto, the concessions were given. It would help 6 lakh powerlooms in the state and revive the sector which was in deep crisis. In this connection, we are going to meet the CM at the secretariat on Monday to thank him and sought his permission to hold a facilitation function for him at Karumathampatti in Coimbatore district on March 12. They also thanked ministers Senthilbalaji, Muthusamy, MP Saminathan and MLA Eswaran for arranging the needy relief, they added.
