President-elect Murmu invited to participate in Chess Olympiad

The Tamil Nadu government has invited the president-elected Droupadi Murmu to participate in the 44th Chess Olympiad that is scheduled to take place between July 28 and August 10 at Mamallapuram in the state. 

The inauguration and farewell of the olympiad would be taking place at Nehru indoor stadium in Chennai. The Tamil Nadu government has decided to organize the inauguration function in a grand manner and leaders including prime minister Narendra Modi would be participating in the event. Meanwhile, a team headed by TR Balu had met Murmu to congratulate her on being selected as the 15th president of the country. 

During which, they had invited her to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the olympiad.
