Prime Minister Jobs 10 Lakhs in Government

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the Union Government to go for a massive recruitment drive of 10 lakh persons in the Union Government jobs in the next 18 months. This comes in the wake of a huge shortage of manpower in all ministries as revealed by a study instituted by the Prime Minister himself.The economy was hit during the years 2020 and 2021 due to the corona pandemic. This led to the loss of livelihood for many while many could not recover from the loss of lively hood. Many who lost their jobs are still searching for alternate work. Against this scenario, the Prime Minister has advised recruiting 10 lakh employees for the Union Government.

The Prime Minister has urged speedy recruitment and hence newly passing out graduates and those in search of jobs will find it a boon in their lifetime. As government jobs increase, a reduction in unemployment can be expected.Opposition parties have been complaining that unemployment has not reduced in the country in the last 8 years since the BJP came to power. 

The Prime Minister's announcement haece gained significance coming in the face of opposition criticisms.  
With the general elections slated for 2024, BJP has started working with full intent to win the election for the third term. Political observers opine that  the Prime Minister's mega job scheme would help offset opposition 
propaganda of unemployment during the coming general election.
