We have announced and completed projects in two years what can be done over five years said M.K Stalin in a Salem on Sunday.
Inaugurating various projects in Salem on Sunday, Chief Minister Stalin said: "The DMK government has implemented various un-countable number of projects in Salem. The Tamil Nadu government is struggling to cope with the financial crisis. But citing financial crunch, no new schemes are withheld from being announced".
Regarding the comments about his recent trip to Japan, Stalin said, " Due to my foreign trip, investments of Rs.3 thousand crores are going to come to Tamil Nadu. Only when out of our Tamil cultural ethos we step out and invite investors from abroad they will be interested to invest. But some even criticize the investment trip with wrong intent. I am short of time to serve people. In the fare-free bus travel scheme in Salem alone, 14 million times women have travelled," he said.
He further said, that the land selection work for setting up a huge industrial park in Salem has been completed."The construction work for the textile park will start soon.A study has been carried out to build a railway flyover in Salem Ammapettai to reduce traffic congestion. The Dravidian model of government is working for the development of people from all walks of life".

Blaming the AIADMK government for the power pricing issue, he said, "the last AIADMK regime has signed the schemes of the central government with a blind eye in the UDAN scheme. It is due to this the state governemnt is forced to hike the power tariff", said Stalin
We have announced projects in two years and implemented them which would in the normal course would take five years. But what will give me real pride is when Tamil Nadu is named as the number one state. Inaugurating the statue of Karunanidhi has satisfied me immensely though, he said.
Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K Stalin inaugurated, 390 projects completed at an outlay of Rs. 1367.47 crore and lays foundation for 331 new projects at an outlay of Rs 236 crores on Sunday at a massive government function held at the Government Engineering College, Karupur, Salem on Sunday. Also governemnt welfare aid schemes were distributed to 50,202 persons worth Rs 170.31 crore . Durai Murugan, Minister for Irrigation and Water Resources, K.N Nehru, Minister for Municipal Administration, M.R.K Paneerselvam, Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Dr.M.Madhivendhan, Minister for Forests, S.Ragupathy, Minister for Law, Mr.Shivdas Meena, Additional Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply, Mr. Dakshinamoorthy, Managing Director, TWAD Board, Mr. P.Ponnaiyah, Director, Municipal Administration, Mr.S.Karmegam, Salem Collector, Salem Mayor A.Ramachandran, S.Balachandar, Corporation Commissioner, S.R Parthiban, Salem M.P were among those present.
