RBL Bank donates cycles to girls

RBL Bank, under its CSR initiative - UMEED 1000, has donated 100 bicycles to the underprivileged girl children in Chennai. 

The Bank held the donation drive in the presence of R V Ramya Bharathi, IPS DIG cum Joint commissioner of Police, North Zone, Chennai, Mrs. V Shanthi, Education Officer, Greater Chennai corporation, Mrs. Nagalaxmi, Assistant Education Officer, Mrs. Selva Kumari S, Headmistress, Chennai Girls High school, Perambur and senior representatives from RBL Bank. The beneficiaries were identified by the Bank directly with the support of Department of Education, Chennai Girls High School, Perambur.

The bicycles will help the girl children to go to school and the Bank is distributing over 1000 bicycles and school-kits across India, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Raipur, Siliguri, Kolhapur, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Goa, said  R Subramaniakumar, Managing Director and CEO, RBL Bank.”
