Review on Collector's Internship Programme

A consultation meeting was held on Monday  with the students who have been selected for training under the District Collector's Internship Programme at the District Collector's office, under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. G. S. Sameeran. In this meeting, Corporation Commissioner Mr. MU Pratap, District Revenue Officer P.S. Leela Alex, Additional Collector Development Dr. Alarmelmangai, Assistant Collector (Training) Ms. Soumya Anand, Assistant Collector (General) Kokila, Dean of Kumaraguru College of Arts and Sciences Dr. N. Balu, Principal Vijaya Kennedy, Anna University Dean Dr.M.Rathnaswamy, Yuva India Chairman Dr.KA Kuriachan, Rotary Texcity President Vijay Ramachandran and many government officials were present.

Internship Program

Collector said: District Collector's Internship Program is an opportunity for the students/young aspirants of Coimbatore district to learn about the activities of the district administration, to know about the government schemes implemented in the district and to be carried out by various departments for the development of the district.

It will be started with the lofty aim of volunteering and involving themselves in the upcoming pilot projects and special initiatives.  The short term training is 45 days for all undergraduate and postgraduate students and the long term training is 6 months.  25 students were selected for short term training and 6 students were selected for long term training .28 students participated in the consultation held today.
