Rotary organises music competition for students

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore, the oldest club in this region, was started in the year 1944. Big stalwarts of Coimbatore were founding members of this 
club. 
Among various welfare projects, the club also conducts many competitions for young children to groom them mentally and physically. 
Inter school band competition is one such event conducted by the Club every year for the past 22 years. 
Many schools with Band team across Central Tamilnadu and Pondicherry participate every year exhibiting their musical talent, physical stamina and discipline. 
This year, students from 17 schools competed with each other and gave their best performances. Rotary District 3201 Governor Elect for the year 2024 -25, .Rtn.AKS Adv. N. Sundaravadivelu, inaugurated the event. 
Band masters from PRS were the judges. 
A surprise entry was Corporation School, Masakkalipalayam where small kids participated showcasing their cute little talent. Chief guest Rtn.AKS Adv. N. Sundaravadivelu, distributed trophies and cash prizes to the winning 
teams.
