Rs 24.61 cr allotted to improve basic facilities in industrial park

Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Tha.Mo. Anbarasan laid the foundation stone for Rs 24.61 cr development works in the Arignar Anna coop industrial estate at Kittampalayam,  Sulur taluk in Coimbatore district. 

District Governor Dr. G.S.Sameeran, District Industrial Centre General Manager G.Thirumurugan, Former Minister Pongalur Palanichamy, Co-operative Industrial Estate Managing Officer/Industrial Co-operative Officer K.Sukanti, Anna Co-operative Industrial Estate Manager R.Chandrasekaran, Executive Committee members B. Ramakrishnan, DK Palaniswami and Karumathampatty Municipal President Nithya Manokaran, Kittambalayam Panchayat President Chandrase khar,Kittampalayam former panchayat president Ramasamy and many government officials were present.

Industrial park starts functioning

The Minister said the Estate is in ​​280.64 acres in Kittambalayam Village and 35.40 acres in Thekkalur Village, Avinasi Circle, Tirupur District with a total area of ​​316.04 acres. It is the largest co-operative industrial park.

In this industrial estate, 90 cent plots 37, 45 cent plots 241, 30 cent plots 164, 15 cent plots 143, totalling 585 industrial plots, were sold. The CM ordered to create basic facilities at a cost of Rs.24.61 crore.  

In this, Tamil Nadu government's share is Rs.10 crore and beneficiary's share is Rs.14.61 crore. When the industrial park starts functioning at full scale, the units will create direct job opportunities to around 15000 people and indirect job to around 30,000 people, he added.
