Rs 75 cr spl fund sanctioned for Erode Corpn road works: Minister

The government has earmarked Rs 75 crore for the development of roads in Erode Corporation. Housing Minister S Muthuswamy said that all the roads will be renovated soon while hearing the grievances of the people in Periyasemur area today. 

He said  there is a shortage of funds in the Erode Corporation. Although the administration is being managed through various government grants, the expenditure is high.  So, special funds have been received. 
DMK members have the right to speak about their area's problems in the Erode Corporation Council Meetings. But, some spoke like opposition party members. 

That's why Erode Mayor told a DMK councillor in the council meeting yesterday not to speak like opposition member as incited by some others according to the information received by her.  
Perhaps, the number of AIADMK members is less in the corporation. So,  some members may try to speak like them.

But, they have the right to speak about people's issues. Based on the outcome of the investigation on a complaint that a DMK councillor damaged corporation park at Kumalankuttai, action will be taken.  He said that the Erode Corporation Sanitation, Engineering, Health Department employees are protesting against the government order to hire workers under the  outsourcing mode and the problem will be resolved smoothly by negotiating with them, he said.
