On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day Amuta Festival, customers outreach programme was held at the District Lead Bank Office on Park Road, Erode.The event was presided over by Y Sankar, Erode Regional Manager, Canara Bank. Kokiladevi Regional Manager SBI Mr. Thirumurugan, District Industries Centre General Manager, Ramachandran Deputy General Manager, SIDBI attended. Also present on the occasion were the Assistant General Managers of Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, and managers of Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Central Bank of India, Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank, TIIC and Mahalir Thittam attended.
At the ceremony, bank officials explained the importance of lending, loan schemes, Prime Minister Insurance scheme, pension scheme, financial education and banking related doubts. In the event, loans worth Rs 87.90 crore were disbursed to 3,038 beneficiaries as business, housing, auto, agricultural, education, personal and women's self-help group loans and loans with a grant from the Central Government.
At the end of the event, the District Lead Bank Manager Mr. P. Ananthakumar proposed a vote of thanks.
