Ryots oppose Turn Irrigation System

Keezhbavani ayacut ryots association leaders led by P Kasiannan submitted a petition at the collectorate opposing introduction of turn irrigation system for the present nanjai paddy cultivation in the 1.35 lakh acre ayacut while enough water was available in the LBP Dam and paddy cultivation work was started now only. The decision would hit paddy cultivation and was taken arbitrarily without consulting the farmers. 

It is a wrong decision. We request you to provide adequate water to all the ryots. Similarly, 12 persons of Makinangukombi, Arasur, Thattambudur Colony next to Sathy gave a petition that a chit promoter of the area refused to repay their money, remitted for chits, to the tune of Rs 50 lakh as promised.
