Coimbatore-based Salzer Electronics Limited has secured a major order worth Rs. 50 crore for Smart Energy Meters from one of India's leading Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISP). This follows an initial Rs. 5 crore order received in the previous quarter from the same customer, reinforcing Salzer’s growing presence in the smart metering sector.
With an annual production capacity of 4 million smart meters, Salzer’s newly established manufacturing facility is equipped to meet the increasing demand for smart metering solutions. The company aims to play a crucial role in modernising India's energy infrastructure by supporting the Government’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
