Save Soil trophy tournament held at Isha

To raise awareness about soil conservation various sports tournaments were conducted for the rural youth at Isha. Around 400 sportsmen and women participated in the various sports competitions such as volleyball and throwball. Conducted on behalf of Isha Outreach, the matches were held in front of the Adiyogi from Dec 31 to Jan 8. A total of 29 teams in the men's volleyball competition and 8 teams in the women's throwball competition, all of whom are from the villages surrounding Thondamuthur.

The tournament's grand finale was held on Jan 8, in front of the Adiyogi. The men's volleyball team from the village of Mathuvarayapuram won the first place and the second place went to the Devarayapuram village team. The first place in the throwball competition was won by the team from Pullakoundanputhur and the  second place went to the team from Devarayapuram. The winning teams were   presented the winning trophy and prize money by  Ikkarai Boluvampatty President Mr Sadanandam.
