Chennai-based Saveetha Dental College, a part of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), has been ranked among the World's Top 18 Dental Colleges by The QS World University Rankings.
According to an official communication from the institution, this is the first of its kind for an educational institute in India to stand 1st in India (Domestic Rank), 3rd in Asia and 18th Internationally (Global Rank).
There are no Indian colleges in the Top 100 Ranking of QS. University / Institution’s performance in Academic reputation, employer reputation, Citation per Paper - H index and International Research Network where Saveetha has scored a 100 in Citations and H index.
Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, Founder and Chancellor, SIMATS, said "It is very unusual for an institution to have excelled above 51 narrow subjects and 5 broad subject areas.
