Naam Thamizhar Katchi chief coordinator Seeman appeared in Erode district court on Monday in a case registered by the Erode Karungalpalayam police. The charge against him was that he spoke in the election meeting in the by-election of Erode East segment in March against Arunthathiyars in denigrating manner following complaints from BSP functionaries. The case was registered under 3 sections of IPC and SC, ST prevention of atrocities Act and the police issued summons to appear in the district court, dealing the SC ST cases, on Monday. As the district judge Murugesan went on leave, the case came up for hearing before the Mahila Court judge Malathi today morning who asked him to appear by 2 pm. So, he stayed in a car in the court premises. His partmen said he would move bail petition in the afternoon after getting chargesheet. His visit created much flutter in the court.
