Seminar on drug and alcoholism held atTiruppur

A weekly review meeting was held at the district collector’s office on the eradication of drugs and Counterfeit liquor
In this meeting the district collector T. Christhuraj said that our honorable chief minister taking the steps to abolish the Movement of drugs.  
Various activities are being carried out for this purpose. 
As a part of this, yesterday a weekly review meeting was held with departmental officers related to the eradication of drugs and counterfeit liquor.
The Police should continue to carry out strict vigilance on the eradication of drugs and counterfeit liquor in Tiruppur district. 
When complaints are received regarding drugs and counterfeit liquor immediate action should be taken by visiting the place where it was found. 
Drugs addicts should be sent to rehabilitation centers. Strict monitoring should be done on unauthorized liquor gatherings. 
In view of the upcoming June 26 Drug eradication day, awareness activities should be carried out regarding drug eradication and social disorders.
Public Awareness should be created through posters and stickers on drug awareness in place where large numbers of people congregate including bus stand, railway station, vegetable market and shopping malls. 
Also, Awareness pamphlets and awareness art programs should be conducted on drug eradication to reach school and college students. 
The police and the customs department should work together and take measures to prevent illegal liquor and drug-free activities.
