Seminar on genetic diversity

A seminar on genetic diversity was held at Yercaud under the Department of Agriculture, District ATMA Project.
Mr. Thangaraj, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Yercaud welcomed the participants. Mr Kannan, Director, Farmers Training Institute presided over and outlined about the purpose and benefits of this festival. Professor Venkatachalam from Tapiaco and Castor Research Institute Ettapur, and Professor Chandrasekaran of Agricultural Science Institute, Sandhiyur spoke about new agricultural techniques.

Department of Horticulture

Department of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture, Department of Agricultural Engineering,  Department of Animal Husbandry, Farmers Producers Institute, Vanavarayar Agricultural College and Natural Honey had set up exhibition stalls at the meeting venue.

Bharati Kalaikuzha created awareness about central and state government schemes through rural folk songs. 
Agricultural Officers Mr.Thamaraiselvan, Mohanasaritha, Kavita, Saravanan, Ramya, Gautham and Deputy Agriculture Officers were present in this ceremony. More than 300 farmers including Sathyamurthy, Murugan, Shankar, Ayyathandurai and Assistant Technical Manager Durai participated.
