Seminar on Irrigation System

A 2-day seminar for Keezbavani sub-divisional farmers under the Tamil Nadu Irrigation Agricultural Modernization Project was held at Gobi Arts and Science College on Thursday under the auspices of the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Agri-Commerce in Erode District.Inaugurating the seminar, Collector H. Krishnanunni said ''Tamil Nadu CM has been announcing and implementing numerous schemes for the benefit of ryots.  In particular, a separate budget has been presented for the Department of Agriculture. 

 Accordingly, a 2-day seminar is arranged at the district level.''He said that various departmental offices were present and various projects and assistance were discussed in detail in the seminar.  Subsequently, he gave share certificate  for the members of the Niraimathi Farmers Producer Company and on behalf of the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Commerce, he issued cheques for produce pledge loan worth Rs. 2.79 lakhs to farmers.
