Senthil Balaji is on ventilator support after bypass surgery

Senthil Balaji is on ventilator support after bypass surgery

The private hospital where minister Senthil Balaji has been undergoing treatment, said that the minister was under ventilator support after undergoing a bypass surgery.
ED sleuths had raided the premises linked to the minister in Karur and Chennai last week.
The search operations come after the Supreme Court overruled the Madras High Court’s 2022 order dismissing the summons sent by the ED in connection with a Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case to the minister and others.

The case has been registered against the minister and others based on a complaint alleging that he had cheated people after obtaining a huge sum to get them jobs in the transport department during 2011 – 2015.
Following the raids, the minister was arrested by the ED.
But since he complained of chest pain, he was admitted to a government hospital in the city where doctors performed coronary angiogram on the minister and advised for a by-pass surgery.
After the High Court gave its assent, he was transferred to a private hospital in the city on June 15. The minister on Wednesday underwent a coronary bypass surgery and the five-hour-long operation was performed by Dr Raghuram and his team.

A statement released by Kauvery hospital said, “The minister is under ventilation support after the surgery as his heart requires at least 24 hours rest.
After a day, he would be taken out of ventilator support completely. His health condition has been monitored constantly. He is under medication.”
