Single leadership need of the times : D. Jayakumar

Former minister D. Jayakumar has categorically stated that single leadership is the imperative for the current times.It has been announced that the AIADMK general body meeting will be held on June 23rd.

A consultative meeting on the decisions to be taken at this meeting was held on June 14 at the party headquarters in Chennai. O. Panneerselvam, Edappadi Palanisamy, Hussain, Vaithilingam and others participated. There was a commotion inside and outside the AIADMK head quarters and a crowd raised slogans about single leadership.

Since then, both AIADMK factions have been rallying for support. Poster war is also going on in many places. In this context, D. Jayakumar told reporters that the AIADMK General Committee will be held as planned. “Weonly say we need a single leader and have not decided who. There is no motive in the matter of single leadership. A smooth result will be reached in the General Council. I am not on the Panneerselvam side nor on Palanisamy side either,” said Jayakumar.
