Six giant pumps with 41 HP capacity each, which are meant for export, are being sent to Chennai

Six giant pumps with 41 HP capacity each, which are meant for export, are being sent to Chennai with a team of the Coimbatore Corporation to assist in relief and rescue operations in Chennai in the wake of Cyclone Michaung at the instance of the Corporation Commissioner, Mr. M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran. These pumps, which can pump four lakh litres of water per hour, will come in handy in the evacuation of stagnant water, especially in residential areas.
