Six months time to be given to regularise unauthorized plots: Minister

Housing Prohibition and Excise Minister S Muthuswamy said that a six-month time frame will soon be given for getting DTCP approval for unauthorized housing plots across Tamil Nadu.

 Today, he inspected the ongoing works of Rs 482.36 crore  drinking water project being developed near Chennimalai. Then, he said that this project will be implemented in 22 panchayats in Chennimalai union. It will meet the drinking water needs of the panchayats fully and it will complete  by March next year. A case regarding distribution of liquor through tetrapacks in Tasmac liquor shops will come up in the High Court on July 11. After getting the verdict, liquor will be distributed through tetrapacks as in Karnataka and Puducherry. No decision was taken regarding establishment of dye factory near Kodiveri Dam. Collector is investigating on the pollution in problem in Kizhbhavani dam area and steps will be taken to solve the problems among the elected people of Perundurai Town Panchayat. Many high officials including Collector Rajagopal Sunkara attended the event.
