Housing Minister S.Muthusamy found solution to the problem of constructing a memorial for freedom fighter Maveeran Pollan on Monday.Erode District Collector Krishnanunni and Revenue Department officials personally inspected the areas of Nallamangapalayam and Jayaramapuram near Arachalur on 25-7-2022 to select land for the construction of the freedom fighter Maveeran Pollan Memorial Hall as per the announcement made by the government.
Following a difference between arunthathiyars outfits in choosing the place for the memorial, the minister held talks with key administrators of Arundhathiyar social organizations and the heirs of Maveeran Pollan and reached an amicable decision which was accepted by the participants.
Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu government will allocate funds and build a memorial hall in Jayarama Puram, the area where Maveeran Pollan lived. Minister Muthusamy promised to spend his fund to build a memorial at Nallamangapalayam, the place where Maveeran Pollan was shot dead by British. This was accepted by all.
By this way an amicable solution was found between the 2 parties who have differences over the issue for the last four years.It was decided that in the future both the parties will work together without differences.
