Sri Ramakrishna Hospital and TRANSTAN inspires students

Sri Ramakrishna Hospital has partnered with the Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu (TRANSTAN) to launch a comprehensive organ donation awareness campaign. 

“Gift organs, Gift life” campaign was organized by Sri Ramakrishna Hospital and TRANSTAN to provide awareness on the topic and encourage people to donate their organs to the people in need. The campaign was conducted at SNR Auditorium on 12-08-2023. Dr. Anand Bharathan, Senior Consultant Surgeon, welcomed the gathering; Presidential Address was given by D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, SNR Charitable Trust, and the event was graced by Dr. N. Gopalakrishnan, Member Secretary, Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu, Director, Institute of Nephrology Madras Medical College. The vote of thanks was conveyed by Dr. G. Madhu Shankar, Consultant Nephrologist.

This campaign has stressed the importance of organ donation,which is low in india , despite she being a highly populated country.  Sri Ramakrishna Hospital had over 1000+ Ramakrishna Instution’s NSS volunteers' register  for organ donation inspiring young generations to come forward to build a healthy and compassionate world.
