Sri Ramakrishna hospital organizes an awareness programme about stroke

Coimbatore-based Sri Ramakrishna hospital organized a massive programme titled ‘stroke – the shocking truth’ to create awareness among the public about the disease at the hospital premises on October 29.
The event was presided by leading doctors of the hospital – Dr K Asokan, HOD and Chief Neurologist, Dr K Ramadoss, Consultant Neurologist, Dr R Murali, Senior consultant Neurosurgeon and HOD, Dr Vikram Muthusubramanian, Senior consultant neurosurgeon and HOD of minimally invasive brain and spine surgeon, P Muthurajan, consultant in neuro and vascular interventional radiologist.

In the programme, the doctors spoke about the symptoms and treatment available for the stroke apart from the advancements that have been taking place in the field. They also spoke about the measures that one needs to take to prevent stroke.

As a part of the event, the hospital also gave the participants 25% discount on the tests like RBS, Creatinine, HbA1C, ECG, ECHO, Carotid Vertebral Doppler, and MRI Stroke Protocol that are usually taken to ascertain Stroke in a person.
