St. Jude’s inspires students on the International Day of Democracy

St. Jude’s Public School and Junior College, Kotagiri celebrated International Day of Democracy on Sept 15 with this year’s theme being “Empowering the Next Generation”. The event was celebrated with much enthusiasm under the guidance of the Chairman, Dr P.P Dhanarajan and the Executive Director, Dr Samjith Dhanarajan. The Principal, Dr Saro Dhanarajan and the Additional Principal, Mr C Sivakumar presided over the events of the day. The highlight of the celebrations was a skit titled “A Day at the Parliament” by the 7th graders. The principal appreciated the students for their performance. She also urged the future leaders to be corrupt-free and just like the Odanthurai Panchayat President Mr R Shanmugham. In an age where democracy faces a lot of challenges, the World Democracy Day celebrations at St. Jude’s educated the students on the principles of democracy.
