Stalin inaugurates police stations, fire service buildings

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday virtually inaugurated three police stations, two police department  buildings and two fire and rescue service stations that were constructed at the cost of Rs 23.72 crore, from secretariat in the city.

The police stations – one each at Muthapudupet in Chennai, Maanur in Tirunelveli district and Thirumuruganpoondi in Tirupur district – were constructed at the cost of Rs 3.47 crore. Police community hall was constructed at the cost of Rs 10 crore in Avadi near Chennai, district police office was constructed at the cost of Rs 5.40 crore in Dharmapuri district and fire service stations that were constructed at the cost of Rs 4.85 crore at Thiruvarur and Coimbatore districts were inaugurated by the Chief Minister.

Chief secretary Irai Anbu, additional principal secretary to home department Paneendra Reddy, DGP Sylendra Babu, director of fire service and rescue department Seema Agarwal, chairman of Tamil Nadu police housing quarters corporation and administrative director Viswanathan, Avadi police commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore and other higher officials were present at the event.
