Students attend lecture at Madras regimental centre

Gallantry award winner from Madras regimental centre in Wellington in the district addressed the students of government higher secondary school in Mettupalayam and Cordite factory higher secondary school at Coonoor. He motivated them to consider joining the Indian army.

He was awarded Sena medal appreciating his involvement in one of the operations that took place in Jammu and Kashmir in 2002. While speaking to students, he said that serving for the motherland has given him the highest level of satisfaction and it is unmatchable. About 325 students attended the event.

School principals said that every student should make their own contributions towards building the nation and strive hard to reach greater heights in their career. They also urged the management to continue organizing such events to motivate students.
