Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to chair the assembly sessions that is scheduled to start from Monday evening.
The government had earlier announced that the sessions would start from August 30. But, now, it has been preponed and it will start from Monday at 6 pm at Secretariat in Chennai.
During the sessions, welfare schemes of the state would be discussed. Following the continuous requests from several quarters of the state to ban the online gambling games, discussions to pass an ordinance to ban the same was expected to take place.
The discussion to take next course of action on the probe of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, about breakfast schemes for students in class I to V and setting up of a new airport at Parandur would be held.
The Chief Minister would also hold a rainfall preparedness meeting with the ministers as the state gears up for the monsoon.
