As the population increases day by day, the number of vehicles and the number of various industries also increase. Due to this the environment gets polluted much and natural resources are consumed little by little by human society. As a result the seasons change and the Earth warms. It affects not only humans but all living things in the world. American scientists have warned that great destruction awaits due to global warming.
Both the government and activists are involved in nature conservation activities from time to time. In that regard, the Government of Tamil Nadu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of England for the establishment of a botanical garden.
The Tamil Nadu government is planning to set up a botanical garden in Chengalpattu district with technical assistance from Kew Gardens in London. The objective of setting up this botanical garden is to preserve the indigenous, rare and plant species of Tamil Nadu. This project is initiated to protect forests, shifting forests, wetlands etc.
Such projects should be expanded to protect the environment.
Congratulations to the Bale Project & Tamil Nadu Government for their big efforts!
