TCIS holds awareness programme on 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad

The Camford International School (TCIS) organized an awareness programme on Friday. 
 

The programme is to create awareness among the students about the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad that is scheduled to take place between July 19 and 26 in Chennai. 

The aim of the programme is to emphasize the benefits of playing 
Chess in day-to-day life especially during our childhood.
 

The school has decided to allow the general public to attend the event. 
The 40X20 feet logo of the olympiad made up of mosaic with rock salt crystal was 
displayed in the school premises. 

It was made by about 40 class VII and VIII students in less than two hours. The school chairman N Arulramesh, correspondent Poongothai Arulramesh and Principal Poonam Syal participated in the event and congratulated the students. 
 

They expressed hope that the programme would help them to identify the potential players.
