Teach a lesson to DMK in LS poll: Sasikala

Sasikala, a close friend of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, asked the people to teach DMK a lesson in the coming parliamentary elections for its anti people policies and bring people oriented MGR and Jayalalithaa rule again in the state.

Her supporters garlanded Jayalalithaa and MGR statue on behalf of her at Erode PS Park on Tuesday night and then she spoke from the Tempo Traveller van saying that in former Chief Minister MGR and Jayalalitha's regime, innumerable schemes were implemented for poor people like noonmeal scheme, gold for thali, free laptop, bicycle, note books, mixer grinder fan scheme, Amma restaurant.

But,  DMK did not do anything for people for the past 15 months and dropped many welfare scheme of AIADMK.  Property tax has been increased by 150 percent, the price of milk has been increased drastically, and the electricity bill has been increased. Next, the bus fare is going to be hiked. Less than 200 units are used by many people. 

Electricity tariff for small industries has been increased from Rs.6 to 7.5 per unit. Morning and evening hours were called peak hour and tariff at that  time  increased to Rs 9.38 per unit. 

In AIADMK rule only two hours in the morning and evening have been fixed, as peak hour and that for big industries. Now, it has been increased to 8 hours. So, MSMEs would be in  deep crisis.  Due to the increase in the property tax, house rent would rise steeply, affecting poor people much. Is squeezing and burdening people  the Dravidian model government, she asked. None could separate the AIADMK and the Kongu people. 

That is why I have opted a person of the area as the Chief Minister. Now, in the region,  textile industry was hit much due to rise in cotton and yarn price. Its export was also hit dye to  Ukraine- Russia and economic recession in the US. Wastes of textile dyeing units and tanneries mix directly in the Cauvery. So, common effluent treatment plant should be set up. 

Women's college should be set up in Erode. UGD work should be completed. DMK government should take action on the problems. However, AIADMK government will soon blossom,  then all these demands will be fulfilled. To remove this anti people government alone,  she continued to say that all AIADMK cadres should be united to protect the people in the way of revolutionary leaders MGR and Jayalalithaa, she observed.
