TN Elementary School Teachers Organizations Joint Action Council (TETO- JAC) has decided to stage a demonstration in front of the offices of CEOs in the state to press implementation of 11 point charter of
demands including old government pension scheme (GPS), said the TETO-JAC coordinator and state general secretary of the Tamil Nadu Arambapalli Aasiriyar Koottani General Secretary Muthuramasamy.
After the federation meeting held at Erode, he told newsmen the demands include restoration of old GPS and incentive for higher qualification, removal of anomalies in pay scale, counseling program for transfers etc.
The DMK poll manifesto assured to restore the GPS. So, the government should hold talks with the TETO-JAC before May 18 to fulfill the demands of the teachers, he pleaded.
