Thatkal Scheme introduced for Document Registration

Normally during auspicious wedding days tokens are issued in advance for 100 Registrations in some Sub-Registrar's offices. This deprives many of registering on auspicious days. Also those who want to register documents at short notice are unable to do so.

To avoid this the Registration Department has introduced the Thatkal Scheme for Document Registration on any chosen day by paying Rs 5000 as Thatkal Fees.Under the Thatkal scheme persons who get tokens will get their documents registered on a particular date and time. Thatkal will be implemented similar to the present token system.

 According to the new system normal tokens will be treated as Thatkal tokens and any number of such tokens will be allowed to be registered in advance.The amount paid in advance will not be refunded if the concerned person does not appear on the date and time. Under Thatkal system the Registration will commence before two months as in the case of ordinary tokens.

The Thatkal system will be introduced in 100 Sub-Registrar's offices. Between 10 am to 1.30 pm there will one Document Registration, 2 Registrations between  2 to 3 pm and one Registration between 3 to 3.30 pm.This scheme is a boon to persons who want urgent Registration  and chosen day Registrations. Hence it may be welcomed !
