A person named Karukka Vinod threw a petrol bomb in front of the Governor's bungalow causing a flutter and leading to the arrest of Vinod.
Following investigation Mr.Shankar Jiwal, DGP, Tamilnadu, Mr.Sandip Rai Rathore, Commissioner, Chennai City Police, Mr.Arun, ADGP Law & Order, met the press regarding the petrol bomb complaint lodged by the Governor's office explaining the CCTV footage.
The footage showed Karukka Vinod walking with a bag near the Government Arts College in Nandanam. There was also footage of Vinod walking through the Saidapet bridge and none accompanying him. Next he was seen at Sardar Valabai Patel Road opposite to Governor's bangalore and throwing petrol bottles on the other side of the road.
The police officials further explained that Karukka Vinod did not throw the petrol bottles towards the Governor's bangalore, he did not flee or try to run inside the Governor's bangaloe. The Governor's staff did not catch him and it was 5 police men who nabbed him and seized 2 bottles from him.
Hence the complaint lodged by the Governor R.N Ravi is against facts. Tamilnadu Police has proved this.
This goes to prove the statements of several parties that the Governor was leveling unfounded charges in order to defame the Tamilnadu Government
Is this an act worthy of the Governor? Will he apologize to the people of Tamilnadu for his false charges? The people of Tamilnadu want to know.
