Thoothukudi collector Senthil Raj inspected the ongoing works to acquire land for laying two-way railway tracks to commence rail service between Madurai and Thoothukudi, at Innammaniyachi, Alampatti and Manthithoppu in Kovilpatti in the district. Special revenue officer Marimuthu and Kovilpatti tahsildar Rajikumar were present at the venue.
