Tiruppur Collector T Christuraj visited Thali village in the Udumalpet region to inspect various infrastructure development projects on July 7. These included the TAHDCO lands, construction of hill roads, and Gandur canal repair works estimated at Rs. 72 lakhs.
During the inspection, Collector Christuraj said, “Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has been implementing several schemes to benefit the citizens. Many welfare schemes have been announced for the betterment of the Adi Dravidar community. As part of these initiatives, an inspection of 88.67 acres of TAHDCO lands was conducted to improve the livelihood of the Adi Dravidar community.”
The collector also visited the hill regions in Thali Municipality to review the possibility of constructing 5.37 km of roads to benefit the Adi Dravidar community. District Forest Officer Devendrakumar Meena, Udumalpet Tahsildar Sundaram, and other government officials accompanied him during the inspection.
