TMMK plea to withdraw False Cases registered on SCs

Thamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) district president A Selvaraj has demanded withdrawal of false cases registered on the party president John Pandiyan and 28 Scheduled Castes who attended the Padalur Sellamuthu Mariamman Temple festival in Perambalur district recently after getting permission from the High Court. 
In this regard, he submitted a petition to Erode District Revenue Officer Santoshini Chandra in which he said that some caste fanatics opposed the holding of the temple festival. 

So, after getting police permission the devotees took out a rally. John Pandiyan and 28 others belonging to Devendrakula Velalar Community took part in it after getting HC order. But, some anti-social elements involved in stone throwing incident. 

However,  the police registered false cases against John Pandiyan and others without taking action against the caste fanatics who created trouble there. So,  he demanded withdrawal of false cases registered against John Pandiyan and others, steps to hold the temple festival peacefully every year and wipe out untouchablity problem existed discreetly in many temples in the state.
