Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was intimidated by the ‘Mega opposition meet’ organized in Patna.
Addressing the gathering after participating in the family function of Gummidipoondi Venu at Anna Arivalayam in the city, he said, “We are at a point where we need to do even good things with caution and patience.
The country’s Prime Minister is unaware of the history. He says that only Kalaignar’s family would be benefited if people vote for DMK. He is unaware that the entire Tamil Nadu is Kalaignar’s family.
The DMK family had gone to prisons after protesting for public welfare. Kalaignar considered the entire party as his children.
DMK is nothing but a family and Anna called everyone as ‘Thambi’ (brother). Modi should educate himself before speaking.”
He said that Modi was intimidated by the ‘Mega opposition meet’ that was organized in Patna by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to organize opposition parties against the BJP.
Pointing out that riots have been taking place in BJP-ruling Manipur for over 50 days, he said that even though thousands of people have vacated the state due to extreme violence, Modi had not visited the state till date and even home minister Amit Shah had conducted an all party meeting after 50 days of violence.
“This is how the BJP functions. Modi, who is ignorant of Manipur riots, wants to implement a uniform civil code.
It looks like he is under the impression he would be able to win the general election by creating communal riots in the country. He is working towards destroying the communal harmony of the country. People will teach them proper lessons in the upcoming election. We should form a secular government at the centre and everyone should work towards it,” he added.
