Tamil Nadu Urban Housing Development Board Managing Director M Govindarao inspected the housing projects in Erode district on June 25.
In the district, 11,890 flats have been constructed in 30 project areas
under the Tamil Nadu Urban Housing Development Board's Housing for All scheme, out of which 1,184 flats have been completed and allotment orders have been issued to 997 beneficiaries.
Under the Beneficiary Self Housing Scheme 7689 beneficiaries have been issued work orders and 6316 building works have been completed. The Managing Director inspected the 288 flats constructed in the Alukkuli project area in the Gobi circle and hear the grievances of the allotted tenants and asked officials to attend the grievances.
He also asked the people for details about drinking water facility, transport facility and nearby fair price shop in the area. Then, he inspected the construction work of 336 flats being constructed under the Bhavani Road Area-II (Level-II) project in the Erode Corporation under the Housing for All project.
He then inspected the 1072 flats constructed by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board in the Perumpallam stream, Karungalpalayam and Periyar Nagar project areas and instructed the Housing Department officials to hand over the flats to the beneficiaries as soon as possible.
Then he inspected the Alamarattu Medu project area under the Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project and asked the people to pay the outstanding amount and obtain the sale deeds. He also reviewed self-construction projects under the Housing for All scheme.
