Transforming Observation Home

Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore RAAC & Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) has invested in Transforming Observation Home into a Reformative Ecosystem through Infrastructure Upgradation.  Juvenile Justice Home or Observation Homes are meant to be Care Homes that play a major role in reformation of juveniles who conflict with the law.

 The Juvenile Delinquents at Lakshmi Mills Junction was started in 1938 by British Government. The home comes under the care of District Child Protection office as well as Department of Social Defense.  

Education portfolio

BGSW/CSR under its education portfolio is invested upon bringing about a radical change in these homes so that they are converted into reformation home that will enable children to access care ecosystem and the desire to reintegrate back to the society. 

The upgradation works are included Sports Mini Stadium with sports accessories, Kitchen Utensils, Furniture’s, and other accessories to provide recreation to the children & origami, music, Indian cinema and storytelling sessions were provided to the children. 

The renovated facility was inaugurated by the Coimbatore Collector in the presence of Thiru. Saghai Denis, Head of Engineering,  Bosch along with RAAC President Sri R R Balasundaram & Hon. Treasurer Sri S Devaraj & other Office Bearers from RAAC.
