Tribal community school wins TN school education dept's athletic championship

The students of Montfort Community School,  won first place in the Salem Rural B-Zonal level athletics competition organized by the Tamil Nadu School Education Department.
Salem Central level athletics competitions were held at Salem Glaze Brook Higher Secondary School on 7th and 8th September. 83 students from Mantfort Community High School under Maramangalam Panchayat of Yercaud taluk participated in the athletics competition held between about 60 schools.
The students who are all from tribal family background  won the overall champion title with 163 points in the students category in these competitions. Also in the female category, the girls of this school won the overall champion title with 216 points and set a record.
Student S. Suchindran in senior category for students and R. student in senior category. Saravanan won the individual champion title. In the senior category for girls, student V. Paunika, in the senior category, students K. Sathya, K. Rajeshwari and V. Pratisha also won the individual champion title in the youth category.
Principal of Glaze Brook School felicitated the winning students with trophy. 
Salem Suburban-B Central Athletics students were congratulated by the Principal of Montport Community School Bro. Dr. George K,J, Bro. Lawrence, Bro. Anthony and the teachers.
